New News
- Next Thursday we head to Vilas Park on the last day of school!! Please make sure your kiddos have their sunscreen, bug spray, appropriate clothing and shoes, hat, EXTRA WATER, a backpack to carry their lunch and water, listening ears and a great attitude :)
- Cross your fingers that the weather holds......we may need to pivot if it is raining or storming...

Math
- This week we reviewed a variety of 5th grade standards from the year.
- Next Monday will be our last day of math!
Literacy this week
- This week we continued to work on our end of year chapter book reading/projects!
- It is great to see them all with books in their hands :)
Social Studies
- Whenever we can find some time in these past few weeks, we will be doing some map skills learning about the United States.
Science
Our fourth unit will be on Earth Systems: We will work to answer the question: What can determine how much water is available for human use?
- Our first chapter will focus on : Why is East Ferris running out of water while West Ferris is not?
- Our second chapter will focus on : Why does more rain form over West Ferris than East Ferris?
- Our third chapter will focus on : Why is there more water vapor getting cold over West Ferris than East Ferris?
- Our fourth chapter will focus on : Why is there more water vapor high up over West Ferris than East Ferris?
- Our fifth chapter will focus on : How can East Ferris turn wastewater into clean freshwater?
SELS/Health lessons
- We are finished with all of our SELS and Health lessons for the year.
- Randall Way Video for May is shared in your 5th grader's Google Classroom. Our May goal is 1,100 paws by being an ALLY to try and earn a popsicle treat.
